Dhilgee Lot 5
Variety: Ethiopian Heirloom
Processing: Washed
Crop Year: 2016/2017
Origin: Sidama, Ethiopia
Producers: Mokonisa Bulga Washing Station
Altitude: 1700-1800m
This silky smooth cup of coffee originated in the Sidama region of Ethiopia, where it was grown and then processed at the Mokonisa Bulga Washing Station. Hand-sorted before being pulped, soaked, and spread on parchment to dry, this coffee has been extensively checked for quality throughout the production process to ensure that you're getting the most out of each bean. The flavors here are subtle, with a lemon note taking up most of the palate. This coffee really shines when it comes to body, with a full and creamy texture that goes down especially smooth. This one's a true delight to brew and savor, we hope you take some time with it!

This was a really drinkable coffee, with nice fruit full-bodied feels and flavors. Did well even with an admittedly subpar pour over job.

This is one of my favorite sweet coffees because it has a bit of some body to it. It seems to be attributable to the creamy aspect of this bean, as seen in the description. This makes the cup/pot more satisfying.

I agree with the description; Full, Smooth and creamy. I enjoyed the creaminess especially as the coffee cooled in my cup.

This coffee *was* super creamy, which is not a sensation I usually get out of an aeropress. Also pretty rare to get such a light sweetness paired with this sort of body. A real stand-out, can't wait to try it on other brew set-ups.

I found this bean to have an amazing aroma pre-grind, turning into a well-balanced coffee (chemex/bulletproof). I agree with creamy description & reviews as well. Looking forward to the rest of the week's mornings enjoying this!

Loved this coffee, especially while playing with brewing parameters. Brew water on the lower of end of the 195-205 spectrum resulted in a cup with a strong lemon presence which gradually went away the hotter you let the brew water go. I've never had a coffee with lemon as a flavor note that I enjoyed until this one, I couldn't get enough of it. I prefer a pour over, 3 cup Chemex with 23-25g of coffee to 240-250g of 195-205 water.

Even now as I finish off the last remaining cups of Yirga...I back longing for this coffee which is jammed packed with flavors and the perfect balance (in my opinion) of acidity and sweetness. It's divine. For reference, my brew method of choice is the Aeropress.

This was a very enjoyable cup with a full body and great creamy texture. My only complaint is the remaining chaff on the beans. I am a home roaster myself (Behmoor 1600) and know how this can be a problem and I do everything I can to ensure the cleanest result.
