The coffee you're about to enjoy comes from the legendary 'Misty Valley' in the highlands of southern Ethiopia. Over 700 families work together every harvest, bringing the cherries from the coffee trees in the valley down to process. After being washed, these beans are spread out to air dry and tended to maintain even moisture throughout the process. When somebody mentions a dynamic coffee, this is the sort of thing they're talking about. These beans pack a punch, with a ton of different flavors to sort out. Tart citrus notes, super sweet berry flavors, and airy floral hints are just some of the characteristics you'll notice as you take your first few sips. If you like experimenting with different ways of making coffee and the different flavors that can stand out, these are the beans for you!

Misty Valley - I used this varietal for both espresso and pour over coffees. Very clean and smooth, especially as an espresso. Nice balance of floral and citrus notes. A bit subdued as a pour over, but I’m going to try and adjust my temperature (200 instead of 205), and see how that works. Overall, a very good Ethiopian coffee

This roasting gives a nice mouth watering aroma that is rewarded on the palette with a broad range of flavors. Nice cup for a relaxing morning.

One of the best. Not so buried in melon notes as other Yirgs.

Great coffee, loved pulling the melon flavors from the brew. Very unique flavors with a a great balance. Pour over, 23-25g of coffee to 340-350g of water. Will order again when/if available.

I thought this coffee was delicious and balanced. It yielded a wonderful cup that had the perfect sweet notes behind every sip. I brew using an Aeropress and 175 degree filtered, fresh water. After a few months of not hitting the mark, this coffee was everything I've been missing.

I feel that this has been a good year for beans from Yirgacheffe- I've had a few and this Misty Valley is by far my very favorite. I've tried via V60, Siphon and Chemex and, while each highlights the parts of the flavor spectrum that you would assume, they've all produced a sweet, fruity cup. The flavor has been delicate and simply delicious.

This is an excellent example of Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee, very balanced and very nuanced. Lots of different flavor notes. Delicious!
