We're so excited to bring El Socorro Geisha back to the Tasting Series - one of our longest-running coffees in the series is still one of the best in 2021. We've been buying coffee from Juan Diego de la Cerda for years, and with good reason: it's exceptionally delicious! In 2020 his Geisha won the Guatemalan Cup of Excellence auction, making it the top coffee in the country - and he's kept the quality up with this current crop. El Socorro is an incredible farm that produces a variety of coffees, including Bourbon, Marselleza, Macaturra, and more. But their Geisha lots are always the most exciting (and delicious) thanks to the extra care they put into growing, harvesting, and processing these extra-special beans.
A cup of El Socorro Geisha is an experience to be savored, with all the complexity and delicate flavors that Geisha has become known for. This year, we're tasting a floral note akin to orange blossoms, as well as a concentrated honey sweetness that's smooth and fills out the cup. On the back end, we're picking up a spiced quality that reminds us of cinnamon or ginger - a bright, warming quality that complicates the cup and makes the experience just a little bit more special. It really doesn't get much better than this, and we're happy to be sharing Juan Diego's hard work with the club once again. Enjoy!

I bought this coffee for my birthday! So sweet and juicy! It was delicate, full of flavors, stone fruit, hibiscous, brown sugar and some spices.
