These delicious honey-processed beans hail from the San Francisco farm in Tarrazu, Costa Rica. Vernie Navarro is a fourth generation coffee farmer, and his family has taken great care to ensure that their coffee gets better every year. Using a mechanical pulper, they leave about 20% of the mucilage on each bean and dry them in African-style beds, rotating every 30 minutes for even moisture content. The combination of hard work and great history make Vernie Navarro's beans stand out from the crowd with explosive sweetness, the likes of what you would find in cotton candy or bubble gum. It's a strong flavor, with undertones of a more subtle sweetness like cocoa nibs that give it a little complexity. This is a fun coffee, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Great coffee. Bad Note name.
Keep the coffee. Good stuff. Please Lose/Disallow/Delete the Bubble Gum note descriptor. It makes it taste bad even before the first sip...But then I quit holding my nose. And it didn’t taste like bubble gum. Thankfully it tasted great. I used a Sharpie to mark out the note on the label. It tasted even better then. #mindgame

Good quality, but too cotton candy-ish for me
The smell is great, and we will enjoy the whole bag, but we are adding lots of water to the beans to keep the cotton candy flavor minimal. Definitely high quality, though.

Amazing coffee
Smaller coffee beans that pack and amazing amount of flavor. Loved every sip not my absolute favorite but a very close second.

I love cotton candy and after reading the reviews thought I would love this coffee. Unfortunately, I didn't get the cotton candy notes at all. Mostly tasted the cacao. Coffee was good but not what I was expecting it to be.

This was our first coffee through the club. Love the story. Typically prefer a little stronger flavor. Not getting too much sweetness. Very smooth and I’m enjoying drinking.

Very Good!
Very smooth and well balanced. I didn't get any bubble gum but there was definitely a sweetness to it. The aroma was amazing and it really does make for a great cup of coffee.

Drank it black
Usually I am not much of a coffee drinker, but I signed up for this since my team at work got our own coffee pot. Yesterday, it was just a few of us on the weekend crew and we ground some up and made a pot. We were really curious about the strange descriptors and were not disappointed-- I was sitting around drinking it black. Will buy again!

Good balance
Easily tasted the cacao with hints of sweeter notes at the beginning of sweet notes. Good balance. The first honey processed coffee I've had and would definitely try more.

Very Tasty Indeed!
Deep, complex, and smooth. I thoroughly enjoyed this coffee through my Hario v60. I didn't get the cotton candy or bubble gum notes though. All I tasted was a great cup of coffee! Fantastic smell too! :)

Game Changer
At 73 I don't look forward to much anymore. However, this coffee put a whole new outlook on getting up in the morning. This is one of the most memorable flavors I have ever experienced. If you have not tried it yet you are missing on a real taste bud treat!
