If you are thinking of roasting your own green coffee commercially we can help with that. Perhaps you are a cafe owner and would like more control over your coffee or you would like to source higher quality coffee at a lower price point. Maybe you enjoy coffee roasting and would like to turn your hobby into a business.
There are three main avenues to getting started roasting coffee as a business.
First is to purchase your own production coffee roaster, rent a space and get set up yourself. This will cost $100k + and take at least 6 months.
Alternatively you can contract or toll roast green coffee, that is have a coffee roaster roast your green coffee to your specification for you. This can be a convenient way to begin roasting your own green coffee. Usually you pay a per lb fee to the roaster.
The third option and the one a lot of coffee roasters chose is to rent time on a coffee roaster and roast their own coffee during this time. This gives maximum control to the new roaster without spending large amounts of money on purchasing a new roaster and setting up a space and paying for it's rent.

Please note: although we love home and hobby roasting our offerings are targeted at commercial roasters, the minimum commitment to rent the roaster is approx $500 per month.
We roast on a state-of-the-art Loring S15 Falcon just East of Downtown Los Angeles.
The S15 roasts up to 33lb batches with extremely fine control. Compared to drum roasting it's night and day and allows you to perfectly roast your coffee.
However you like to roast, the control and sensing ability of the Loring will allow you to apply any curve you like, making your coffee taste awesome. If you've never used a Loring before, we'd be more than happy to train you!
